The Ulster University Choir has gained considerable popular and critical acclaim for its distinctive and dramatic performances presented in beautiful ecclesiastical settings. Shaun Ryan, Senior Lecturer in Music and Choral Director, has been instrumental in developing the reputation of the Choir over the last fifteen years. Through the audition process, the Choir’s membership is drawn largely from the student cohort of the BMus (Hon) (Bachelor of Music) degree programme, which is delivered at the Magee campus of the University, from the wider student/staff community outside of the Music Department and from the general population outside of the University environment.  Around 80% of the Choir’s membership is made up of Music students.
